Praise the Lord, Christ is risen! I suggest that when we wake in the morning and encounter our reflection in the mirror, we remind ourselves “I am the one that Jesus loves” and then say Praise the Lord! That’s what Alleluia means. A simple exercise to orient us at the beginning of the day to the reality that changes everything. In the midst of relentless reminders of how vulnerable we are, we remind ourselves that through the risen Christ the children of God are made eternal. Because He lives, we shall live also. No matter what the world throws at us, no matter how difficult the present, our future is secured. We are the ones that Jesus loves. Praise the Lord! Christ is risen! The living spirit of God awakens us to a greater reality than what we face each and every day and then lifts us up so that through us it can lift up all around us. In Christ we are always part of the solution. Praise the Lord, Christ is risen!
