Our Gospel for March 14th is one that every Christian cherishes. It is from the Gospel of John and includes the blessed proclamation that God so loved the world that he gave his only son that whoever believes in him may not perish but have eternal life.  We are so blessed that in the midst of our troubling days we are reminded of how powerful God’s gift of love is.  We are also reminded that God’s love is all inclusive.  For God so loved the world. Not just you or me or you and me but the whole world.  Everything God’s hands have made. The verse, even the stones will cry out comes to mind. God’s redemptive act of love is all inclusive. Arguably even more inclusive than sin. In order to overcome sin’s seemingly relentless hold on us, the gospel invites us to believe in this love, to trust in this love to share this love with each other and all of creation.  We are so blessed. God bless and keep us.
