Happy Wednesday!  It is a beautiful day on the North Fork after yesterday’s bitter winter winds and windchill. It seems as though March is trying to make up its mind about living up to its reputation. It is hard to be the Lion every day I suppose. The days are getting longer, vegetation is emerging, robins have been spotted.  The roar of the lion is growing weaker with each passing day. The promise of longer and warmer days is unfolding before us. Our Covid and self-imposed exiles that have served us well are evolving into more helpful ways for us to be together-apart.  The possibility of full adult vaccination by the end of May points at a slow progressive movement to a return to normalcy. As we journey once again to the Lenten season let us remind ourselves of the great struggle that continues and pray to God for the strength and commitment to each other to stay the course as we await the light of a new day. This Sunday is once again the first Sunday of the month and brings a new opportunity to support our local food pantries. Please don’t forget to bring nonperishable food items with you to church.  God bless us all.
