It has been an adventurous February, and I for one am glad that March is near, even if it does come in with the roar of a lion. March brings the promise of spring, the reawakening of life from the sleep of winter and the peacefulness of the lamb. I am looking forward to this year’s Easter celebration as we will be able to be together using our current worshiping guidelines. Things won’t yet be quite normal, but last year we were not able to be together at all. The lilies and the hydrangea will be back. The cross will be on the front lawn and we will adorn it with white poms. The darkness of the long winter is passing and the dawn of the new and lengthening day is emerging before us. As we anticipate our joyous Easter celebration, we remain focused on achieving a victory over the COVID-19 virus. Wear your mask, wash your hands, keep your distance, get vaccinated. God’s peace is with us.
